Crew Call!, the Complete Film and Video Student Directory is the first and only publication of its kind serving Los Angeles and San Diego film students. We work closely with schools such American Film Institute (AFI), the Los Angeles Film School (LAFS) and others to create a comprehensive directory, allowing students to contact each other to work together on projects as well as make them available for work on paid independent productions. SALES AND CIRCULATION We are guaranteeing your advertisement will appear in a minimum of 5,000 copies of our book. The book is kept in circulation for one year and is reprinted throughout the year as needed. Currently we are expecting to increase circulation in 2005 to as much 20,000 with our increased distribution through film schools and trad organisations. Should the book be reprinted, your advertisement will appear in an even greater number of copies. These copies will be distributed through our website, through Los Angeles and San Diego film schools (UCLA, LACC, SDSU, etc.), local trade organizations (IFP West, ASIFA, etc), film commissions, conventions (Show Biz Expo, DV Expo, etc.) and book stores (Samuel French, Script-a-Palooza, etc). COMPARABLES Although there is no publication quite like Crew Call!,
comparables include directories such as The LA-411 and the
Blu Book. Advertisements in Crew Call! are a fraction of
the price of these directories. A web banner from LA-411 alone costs from
$1,000 to $5,000. Print ads with Crew Call are not only
less expensive but include a large format online ad for no additional
charge. All prices shown are in U.S. Dollars and include placement in a minimum
of 5,000 copies of our books plus an advertisement and banner on our website.
We also offer full color card inserts, special inside front cover and
back cover ads, and will meet any special needs. The inside back cover
is available for $3,000 and inside front cover for $5,0000. Please inquire

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS We prefer completed, print-ready advertisements. However, you may also send text and graphics for us to assemble to fit your ad space for a nominal charge of $50. When designing your ad please keep any text within the type area (1cm in from edge of page on all sides). Full page advertisements may bleed off the edge of the page if desired and may therefore be created to fit 5.5 wide x 8.5. If a bleed is desired, the image must extend 1/8 (.125) past the page's edge to compensate for any variance during the cutting of the book. You may send us your advertisement in two ways:
Please send image files or printed hard copies at optimum resolution. 300 to 600 dpi for line art (or bitmap). Your ad must be received in the correct format by the material due date, allowing us time to assemble the advertisement if necessary and send you a proof for your approval. Remember, a Macintosh can read a PC disc, but a PC cannot read a Macintosh disc. We are working on PCs for the foreseeable future. You may also make arrangements to e-mail your advertisement to us as an attachment but we prefer disc and hard copies.
Print advertisements are just the beginning. We will also place your online advertisement on CrewCallDirectory.com to be viewed by a still wider audience. CrewCallDirectory.com ads are Free with purchase of book ad space. For Web ad space by itself is $350 for 12 months, simultaneously to the time the directory with your advertisement is in stores.
